This re-signalling upgrading project was undertaken to improve passenger/train capacity across North London in readyness for the increased passenger numbers of spectators attending the 2012 London Olympics.
Devontech’s involvment was to provide a supply changeover UPS supported containerised Principal Supply Point at Willesden at the westerly end of the project, a DNO/automatic mains failure generator UPS supported containerised Principal Supply Point at Kentish Town, another supply changeover UPS supported containerised Principal Supply Point at Highbury station and at Stratford Station a UPS Auto Bypass System.
At the easterly end of the project at Upminster Control Center Devontech provided a containerised 500kva automatic mains failure generator complete with a 72 hour full load fuel tank ensuring the Control Center was fully operational during a mains failure and providing a synchronised mains restoration.
The generator supplied both the Control Center enviroment management and all signal loads of system.

Together with Atkins Rail Devontech delivered the project within a very tight schedule on time and within budget.
